Spirit of the Orient was created in 2006 to serve as a local resource to people interested in Asian Cultural Items for their families and friends in the Central Pennsylvania Market. The Business features a wide variety of quality merchandise most of which is directly imported from China.

The business, owned by Mary Balciar, is headquartered in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania. The products are sold locally through display booths at local gift shows, international festivals, Chinese New Year Celebrations, and in an Open House Format at the owner's home.

The owner has a deep respect for the Asian Culture and enjoys sharing her passion with others by showcasing traditional cultural items.

All items are personally selected by the owner and we pride ourselves in offering quality merchandise for your guaranteed satisfaction.

The owner has traveled to China three times in the past 10 years. Two trips were to adopt her daughters who are now 10 and 7 years old. In 2003 the family returned to China to tour just a few of the highlights of this beautiful country.

Charitable Giving: A portion of the proceeds earned by Spirit of the Orient will be donated to support charitable initiatives in China.
